The 7 Simple Secrets to Affiliate Internet Marketing

by Emmanuel Aubrey

Everybody and their mom literally are starting to get on-line now if it’s not to check there myspace it’s to go buy that knock off designer purse on eBay. So you want to know how you can get them to come to your website or click you ad. Well your going to get everything you need to know to get started with these seven secrets of super affiliates.

Secret number 1 If you disagree with this first secret than you might as well stop reading. The first secret is the secret the law of attraction, to keep it simple (If you want more information check it out on Google) keep a positive mind set, know what outcome you want and expect that, feel what it’s going to feel like when those commission chechs start coming in and imagine it. If you have to print of the page that shows your commissions and write in the amount you want to see every month do it. Just feel it.

Secret number 2 OK now were on to all the technical stuff. All Super Affiliates know you have to have a good product but not only a good product but one that sells. If the owner of the product sales page isn’t converting viewer’s into buyers than you sending your traffic isn’t going to do much either. You can always pre-sell the product but usually that means you have tested the product first hand. Check the stats for the product if possible and see if it’s a good product.

Secret number 3 Now once you have a good product you need to make a landing page where you will send visitors to. Important note in most cases it is not good to shove the product down there throat as soon as they get to your landing page give them more information on the topic and passively but yet aggressively (you have to find the happy medium) guide them to the product, give them a plan of action that includes the product.

By the way if you choose to send the traffic directly to the merchant you lose out on repeat buyers, keeping track of your stats and so much more.

OK so you found a product and made your landing page now you need veiwer’s or traffic.

Secret number 4 Traffic! Yes this is one of the most important ingredients in fact without traffic there are no commissions. There are a few major traffic sources writing articles, pay per click, joint ventures, search engine optimization, and a few more. Once you get the traffic the next most important part is converting that traffic.

Secret number 5 Converting traffic, if you send your prospects to your landing page you have to give them a reason to buy your product. Try giving them reasons like why the product will make there life better, try to focus on how the product or service is going to benefit them. Most people love when you break everything down for them into a plan so make a plan that will benefit them by using your product. Show them the difference between doing it with and without it. Now your making some money your one of 90% but there are a few more things you need.

Secret number 6 Research, there are so many things you could look at and tweaking all of them could have a huge impact on you business but one of the main things to research is keywords, keywords are what the Internet works on keywords and links basically these are the two ways everyone finds what the want.

Secret number 7 Repeat, yes that’s it find another product and repeat it all over, it will get easier every time.

Now you know the seven secrets go forth and multiple you affiliate income so you can focus on the more important parts of life. Stop thinking about it and just do it but make sure you can feel it first.

Understanding Key E-Business Terms

When you finish reading  this article please check our own “online marketing terms” section. I am sure you will find more interesting terms over there.

by Michael Biehn

Whether you’re operating your own online business, wanting to start one, running affiliate programs, or wanting to advertise in e-zines -or sell advertising in your own e-zine or on your web site, it’s important to know and understand the relevant terms used in e-business today.

Hits:

You see this term everywhere, and often, it is misunderstood and misused. Each hit to a web site doesn’t necessarily represent one visitor. Generally, hits refer to not only the web page itself, but all files requested, including all graphics.

Therefore, if a page has 25 graphics, each visitor to that page represents 26 hits - one hit for the page and 25 for the graphics. As you can see, hits can be very misleading when representing web site traffic.

Page View - Also known as impressions:

As the term indicates, this refers to the number of times each page on your site is viewed by a visitor. If your site has 20 pages, and a visitor goes to all pages, that visitor generated 20 page views.

Keep in mind, every time that same visitor returns to your site, they will again generate more page views, regardless of the time between visits. Please note that some affiliate programs use the term page views or impressions synonymously with unique visitors.

Unique Visitors:

This, by far, is the best and most reliable measure of traffic. A unique visitor is one visitor to a web site, regardless of how many pages he or she visits or how many pages or files/graphics the site contains.

Unique visitors are counted only once for a specific period of time -depending upon how the site statistics are configured. Generally, a visitor is only counted once in a thirty day period, no matter how many times they may have returned during that time.

Keep in mind, this time period varies wildly in the industry, so when talking about unique visitors, make sure you know how long it takes for a visitor to be counted again.

CTR - Click Through Ratio:

Used primarily in affiliate programs and advertising, this is the ratio between the total impressions of a banner or link and the number of times a site visitor actually clicks on (or executes), the banner or link.

For example, if a banner/link had 10,000 impressions in a month, but the advertiser’s banner/link was only actually clicked 2,000 times during that same period, the CTR would be 20%.

CPC - Cost Per Click:

This represents the amount of money (or other consideration), an advertiser would pay to the site owner each time their banner or link was clicked by a site visitor.

CPI - Cost Per Impression:

This represents the amount of money (or other consideration), an advertiser would pay to the site owner each time their banner or link was viewed by a site visitor.

CPM - Cost Per Thousand:

This is the amount an advertiser would pay a site owner for every thousand units. I’m using the term UNITS to represent whatever the site owner and advertiser agreed to base payments on - per click, per impression, per subscriber (in e-zine advertising), etc.

For example, if you were being paid $.20 cents for each click through, and in a month your site generated 10,000 click throughs for a specific advertiser, you would be paid $2,000.

There are many more terms you should become familiar with, but these are the most commonly used terms with regard to web site traffic, affiliate programs, and web site and/or e-zine advertising.

I hope this helps in your future marketing decisions.

Effective Landing Page In Article Marketing Must Give A Strong First Impression

by Juhani Tontti
The idea of article marketing story is to pre-sell the idea of the landing page by giving useful information and writing the article in a catchy way. It must create enthusiastic waiting mood and make the reader really to want something from the Author Box.

When he has read your article, the reader is warm and eager to click your link. Your article marketing story has touched different sides of the topic and you have used maybe 500-1.000 words for that.

When the reader has read that all, comes “The Moment of Truth”, he clicks the link in the Author Box. What happens? What kind of an experience is coming? Excited or another kilometer long story, which repeats the same arguments, now maybe with other words. More reading, huh! No more thank you and he quits!

Or something better. After reading the article marketing story he is eager to act, to do something. This is a moment, like in Xmas, when he deserves a surprise, a gift, a newsletter, income course or ebook. You have to make him even more excited. Now he is delighted and is willing to seek more surprises from your web site.

Now you have his name and address in your optin list and you can put the autoresponder to work. This is the major idea of an effective landing page. The follow ups are very important and you can mail him a lot of useful, quality material concerning different aspects of your business.

To be able to find a working landing page you can test different versions. Article marketing is a flexible media for this. You simply use different links in The Author Box and see how many of article readers will click the link and how many of them will fill in his name and email address.

To increase the effectiveness of the landing page it is wise to change the copy and the gift or lay-out every now and then, because many visitors are repeated visitors. By changing the free gift you can give them fresh ideas and a reason to visit again. This is a real customer service.

I want to stress the idea of the first impression. If the first impression is bad, it is almost impossible to change it afterwards. But another way round, if it is good, the visit experience will be good, which will lead to bigger website sales and repeated visits.

The copy of the landing page must be short. You just thank the visitor and want to give him a useful gift. What a visitor must do is only fullfilling his name and email address. Nothing else. He understands that those are required so that he is able to donload something safely.

Testing and Fine Turning Your Web Traffic

by Larry Bregman

Getting visitors to come to your Internet site is the fuel for success of your home business online marketing promotion. You can build the greatest home business Internet site but if its marketing and promotion doesn’t bring users to the site it’s no good. Once those visitors are coming to your site your tracking software can let you know which pages they view and for how long and what brings them to the site and what page they are on when they exit the site. All this information helps you improve your site and the online sales process for your home business Internet marketing and promotion.

Your online marketing and promotion plan for your Internet home business should include the following goals:

* To get instant low cost traffic to your site so that these users can let you know if your Web sales copy works, if the order form is right, if the navigation is easy and if the opt-in e-mail offer is productive. * To test whether the sales process you have set up online does the optimal job of converting your home Internet business - Web traffic into the greatest number of sales. * To bring the greatest number of consumers to your Web site in the least amount of time. * And to assure that putting your Web traffic marketing and promotion campaign on autopilot successfully grows your Internet home business.

When it comes to testing your Internet site prior to home business online marketing promotion a lot of entrepreneurs don’t know how to test and what to test. The basics that you need to look at are the ordering process, the sales copy, the opt-in e-mail offer and the navigation of the site. The ordering process must be designed with the assumption that the consumer who buys from you has never done so online before. Make it so easy to navigate that the Web novice won’t give up in frustration.

When looking at the sales copy on your site you want to pay close attention to how captivating your headlines are, how clear and influential the benefits are spelled out, that the guarantee is prominent and clear and that there is a strong call to action.

The opt-in offer must be prominent and inviting. If you are getting the contact information from the consumer you know it’s working.

The most important thing to look at when testing your site’s navigation is to make sure that someone who wants to buy your product or service online can do it in two easy clicks. More than that and you start to lose the interest of this instant-gratification audience - especially if your market is under 35 years of age.
